Emily Claypool brings twelve years of international educational experience to the global program at Clemson University’s Youth Learning Institute. Most recently, Emily served as an English Language Fellow for the U.S. State Department, training pre-service teachers at Burapha University and Mahasarakham University in Thailand. Other projects included workshops, conferences, and summits throughout Southeast Asia. She also collaborated on teacher mentorship projects with USAID in Myanmar and Thailand. Prior to her time in Thailand, Emily taught English to a variety of ages in the U.S. and China, developed curriculum for ESL classes, and coordinated study abroad and international student teaching experiences in China, Turkey, and North Africa.
